Corporate Culture and Climate
Leaders shape the CULTURE and CLIMATE of an organization.
- CULTURE is based in corporate values and describes the IDEAL. Among the leadership ideas of vision, mission, values, and strategy…VALUES represent how we ideally work together as employees and with vendors and customers in order to accomplish the vision and mission.
- CLIMATE describes the reality of daily life in comparison or in contrast to the CULTURE. Climate represents the relational side of work life. The presence or absence of personal or departmental silos contributes to how postitive or negative the climate is every day at work.
Leadership development targets the best practices from global thought leaders that result in positively shaping CLIMATE in order to achieve the ideal CULTURE articulated in a list of a few words on posters by drinking fountains throughout the building.
